About this tool

Unix time (epoch) counts the seconds elapsed since 00:00:00 UTC on 1 January 1970, ignoring leap seconds. It is the universal time reference in logs, APIs, databases, and distributed systems. Timestamps with 13 or more digits are automatically interpreted as milliseconds; 10 digits or fewer are treated as seconds. Conversions use your browser's local timezone for Local and relative displays, the UTC and ISO 8601 strings are always timezone-unambiguous. When debugging distributed-system logs, comparing ISO 8601 strings is safer than comparing local strings across timezones.
